Specifically, the flood hazard information will be revised along Whetstone Brook from immediately downstream of Western Avenue to immediately downstream of Meadowbrook Road. The flood hazard revisions are being proposed through a Letter of Map Revision (LOMR) Case No. 23-01-0632P as a follow-up to the construction of the Whetstone Brook at Melrose Terrance Floodplain Restoration Project. The project has been completed and the above referenced LOMR is requesting that revisions be made to the following flood hazards along Whetstone Brook: 1. The floodway will widen and narrow within the revised area. 2. The 1% annual chance (base flood) and 0.2% annual chance Special Flood Hazard Area (SFHA) will widen and narrow within the revision area along Whetstone Brook. 3. Base Flood Elevations (BFEs) will decrease when compared to current published BFEs along Whetstone Brook as a result of the Melrose Terrace floodplain restoration project.
